Will You Wear Blue?

**copied from e-mail**
Blue
Fridays.

Very
soon, you will see a great many people wearing blue
every Friday. The reason? Americans who support our
troops used to be called the 'silent majority' We are
no longer silent, and are voicing our love for God,
country and home in record breaking numbers. We are
not organized, boisterous or overbearing.

Many
Americans, like you, me and
all our friends, simply
want to recognize that the vast majority of
America
supports our troops. Our idea of showing solidarity
and support for our troops with dignity and respect
starts this Friday -- and continues each and every
Friday until the troops all come home, sending a
deafening message that every red-blooded American who
supports our men and women afar, will wear something
blue. By word of mouth, press, TV -- let's make the
United
States
on every Friday a sea of blue much like a home coming
football game in the bleachers. If every one of us who
loves this country will share this with acquaintances,
coworkers, friends, and family, it will not be long
before the USA
is
covered in BLUE and it will let our troops know the
once 'silent' majority is on their side more than
ever, certainly more than the media lets on. The first
thing a soldier says when asked 'What can we do to
make things better for you?' is 'We need your support
and your prayers.' Let's get the word out and lead
with class and dignity, by example, and wear something
blue every Friday.

Channeling Her Inner Rock Star...

K has started a very unique habit; once she is finished eating she likes to imitate Mick Jagger, at least that who I think she looks like.......

And Away We Go........

Well, Miss Katelynn has been crawling for about a week now. At first, it was just a few "steps" but know we get where we want to go, when we want to go.  Not sure Brian and I are ready for this, but we are so excited to see her getting so big. She is already pulling herself up so I have a feeling walking won't be too far behind.

Red, White and Baby Blues....

OK, so this is a little late, but we have been a little busy this past week. July Fourth was a good time! Mom and Dad both had the Friday before off so we got to spend a lot of family time together. That Friday we cooked out and have a couple of good friends over for dinner. It was a much needed night full of great conversation. Then Saturday morning we started the Fourth Festivities! (OK, we ran to the grocery store to buy all the stuff needed for the food we had to make for the Fourth Festivities. but isn't this what everyone does on the Fourth?) Around 6:00 we all loaded up and headed to Piedmont to see the traveling Vietnam Memorial Wall. It was really neat. Half way through, they asked us to leave due to the storms that were rolling in. We were off to Okarche in pouring rain!! We stopped by to see Nanaw Mickie and then headed out to Uncle Mike's. K wasn't sure about all the **popping** firecrackers, but she got used to them after a brief break inside the house. Monday K woke up with a bit of a cold. She wasn't a very happy baby but we are all better now!! (YAY!!) Hopefully we are all back on track and stay healthy!! =)
